Jade Park Angus

Jade Park Angus is run by Andrew, Lisa and their two boys; Sam and Angus. The farm is situated on 1000 acres in Hansonville, at the entrance to the King Valley, in the picturesque North East Victoria.

We have been establishing our herd since 1993, the year of the big flood, based on genetics from Millah Murrah Angus, Comfort Hill, Ardrossan and Blackmores Angus. Since then we have expanded the stud year by year; currently we run a spring calving herd with all stud females AI’d and a strong embryo transfer program each year.

The focus of Jade Park is to breed functional, fertile cattle with a strong emphasis on a natural, docile temperament. We strive for a phenotype with natural thickness and muscle expression while ensuring structural soundness is non-negotiable. Often the focus for genetic selection is solely on the bull, however we aim to breed great females who have a strong pedigree to produce a consistent, reliable line-up of bulls.

~ Jade Park 'Turbo' T104 ~

Turbo is our homegrown superstar who sold 10 exclusive semen packages for $100,000 earlier this year, and we are thrilled with the arrival of his first calves!!

Jade Park Turbo T104 semen will be available through Agri-Gene from our 2025 Bull Sale, on the 25th March 2025.

Turbo is a Rennylea L519 son out of 3 generations of Jade Park donor cows who have collectively contributed over 40 progeny to our program! Turbo’s EBVs showcase the strength of his pedigree perfectly with great carcass data, including an IMF of +3.6 low birthweight, moderate frame and large scrotal. But don’t forget his docility of +45 and incredible structural scores!

All of his calves have been born unassisted, with birthweights suitable for heifers, and extremely docile which makes for easy tagging and weighing. Make sure to check out the proportions on the AI and ET calves pictured.

It’s that time of year again, but things are definitely looking a bit different this season. The green drought has hit hard, but at least it means the calves are easy to find on the ground. Seeing those little faces makes it all worth it though!

As usual, the first to hit the ground are our embryo and heifer calves, providing an early opportunity to see our best and newest genetics
